The camper was quite literally a wreck. The van was not clean, the camping materials were also very dirty as if no-one had bothered to clean it after use (coffee still in the mugs for example). There were so many damages to the camper that at this stage, it should not be rented out: - the sunscreens were broken and therefor could not be used - one of the sun covers was missing - the rooftop windows could not open - the bug-screen was broken and could not be used - there were tears everywhere (scratches, bumps, dents, ...) - the insurance sticker for a german vehicle was invalid, which could have resulted in serious fines (we were told by multiple different Germans that our sticker was invalid and that we could be stopped by the police). -> we reached out to the helpdesk for this and they would come back to us, but they never did. Most important damage of all: the battery of the back area was broken. They told us 'it had not fully charged, but would charge after a long drive and when it had been plugged in for 8+ hours'. We spent every night on a campground charging for 24+ hours and drove 3000+ km, the battery never charged more than 2 dots and our fridge always stopped working immediately after standing still without being plugged in even when it was on minimal usage. our water dit not work when we were not plugged in because you need electricity for the pump to work. We can not understand that this is possible with a camper that people can hire when people pay for a decent camper that is at least in working order. We spent a lot of money on campgrounds and parking spots with electricity out of necessity and urgency while this was not calculated in our budget, as a normal working camper would allow you to go off grid for at least 1 or 2 nights after charging a full night. we could not even go off grid for more than an hour without driving. also causing our foods to go bad. This resulted in a lot of unplanned additional costs. Lees meer
